Sam Connor Disability
Sam Connor’s disability has to do with a rare limb disease category identified when she was in her twenties.
The doctors diagnosed that she had limb-girdle muscular dystrophy when she was just 23 years old. The disease made her limbs weak, but she only used the wheelchair 20 years after being diagnosed with the disease.
Connor was not much affected by the disease until people started to treat her differently after she could not walk by herself. She learned that people had misconceptions about people who are differently-abled and want to change how they perceive them.
