Deming was a former independent contractor based in Westfield, New York. He was crushed by a bulldozer in the Chautauqua county landfill site last year.
Reports suggest that Scott Deming died from the unfortunate accident.
Deming was 56 years old in age.
Scott Deming Work Accident: What Happened?
Scott Deming became a victim of a Work accident.
Apparently, he was standing behind a pile of garbage in the Chautauqua county landfill site, where he had just dumped debris.
A bulldozer in the working site rammed over Scott out of nowhere. It is alleged that the bulldozer driver had no idea Deming was behind the pile.
The volunteer firefighters from Sinclairville were soon summoned to the scene around 1:30 pm. Sadly, Deming was pronounced dead on the scene.
The county sheriff blocked all the vehicles from the area shortly after. The Office Criminal Investigation Division also began their examination.
However, no charges were pressed against the bulldozer driver. They noted that ” it appears that the individual was in (the) path of a bulldozer.”
Update on His Family
Scott Deming family was not happy with the sheriff’s decision.
In 2021, the news reported that the Deming family was filing a lawsuit in the Chautauqua County State Supreme Court.
They are supposedly seeking financial compensation following Scott’s demise. Likewise, they also accused that the landfill was unsafe and did not comply with the safety law.
The case named the county, the Department of Public Facilities, and the accident landfill in the official papers.
