However, this healthy child died mysteriously on August 17, 1993. When he was taken to Modbury Hospital, the doctors found that the body had spinal injuries and two fractured ribs.
This was a kind of criminal activity and thus, the police called for an autopsy and it was Dr. Collin who took this case. Although the body was clearly with injuries, he concluded that the baby had died of bronchopneumonia. During this time, two more babies were found dead in very similar accidents.
