He killed his fellow firefighter captain named Tory Carlon in cold blood at fire station 81 in Agua Dulce.
Reports suggest that Jonathan returned home after the shooting and barricaded himself.
Tatone burned his home bought in 2020 before he took his own life.
NBCLA reported that Authorities followed the identified suspect to the property 10 miles away in Acton. Witnesses mentioned that a fire broke out, and the suspect threatened to shoot law enforcement officers.
After mitigating the fire from the water-dropping helicopter, authorities discovered the body of the suspected shooter.
Jonathan and Tory worked in the same station, and it appears that they did not like each other.
